Originally released between 1991 and 1993 and later compiled into a 6-disc DVD box set in 2004, Legend of the Dragon Kings (also known as Sohryuden) follows the Ryudo brothers, who are secretly the human incarnations of ancient elemental dragons. Each brother represents a different dragon—Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind—and together they battle corrupt scientists, government agents, and mystical threats to protect humanity.
The series is based on a novel by Yoshiki Tanaka, and directed by Norio Kashima, with animation by U.S. Manga Corps.
